Assessments or "check ups" are carried out at regular intervals to suit your needs. We are keen to encourage a preventative approach at the Lyndhurst Dental Practice and need to gather valuable information from you at regular assessments. We may ask you about your medical history, occupation and even hobbies. We may also ask about your diet and oral care routine at home.
After talking with you about any thoughts or concerns you have regarding your teeth and mouth, we will carry out a thorough examination of the teeth, gums and pink areas of the mouth. We may also need to take x-rays to see inside the teeth. Photographs may also be taken to help record any problems and to aid us in showing you your mouth as we see it.
At your assessment appointment we will go through any options that are suitable for your particular case. We also have information sheets available on other dental related topics, such as fluoride, healthy eating and smoking. You might also like to have a look at the BDA smile website for additional information (www.bdasmile.org), the British Dental Health Foundation website (www.dentalhealth.org), the Mouth Cancer Foundation website (www.mouthcancerfoundation.org) or the Quit for Life Website (www.quit4life.nhs.uk).
Do just ask if you have any questions.
